“Exciting exhibition

A NEW and exciting young artist is exhibting at DKP Gallery at The Left Bank during h.Art Week. Her joyous paintings explore women today, allowing viewers to experience female paintings from a female perspective. A woman without limits; manipulating the figure to allow it freedom and pleasure, rather than being subject to the male gaze.

In a less metropolitan area of Britain, Molly questions the patriarchy: Woman as object becomes Woman as subject.

Now in its 16th year, h.Art week has become the county’s go-to event for a genuine life-enhancing experience. Be inspired to get creative, or to add something special, meaningful and original to your home.

Molly recently hosted Available, a solo exhibition at The Craft Gallery Hereford, and exhibited in ‘FBA Futures’ at the Mall Galleries London, opposite Buckingham Palace. In July, she took part in PoARTry, a collaboration of art and poetry in Ledbury:
“I was delighted to collaborate with Molly for PoARTry this summer. Her work screams story and for a poet that is truly exciting. However, Molly's painting was put in a corner and this made me wonder if Prude of Ledbury was willing to accept breasts in non-classical art... although perhaps it was the banana they objected to”. Nina Lewis, Poet Partner to Molly Bythell for PoARTy. Molly’s unsuspecting subjects pull the rug from under usual stereotypes.

The exhibition at DKP Gallery at The Left Bank will run from Saturday September 8 until Sunday September 16, 9am to late daily with a preview tomorrow night from 6-9pm.”
